Cracking NEET 2020 with Study Plan

Cracking NEET 2020 with Study Plan

With just about 10 weeks left for NEET 2020, candidates will need to crack NEET 2020 with a Study Plan specifically tailor made for them. The syllabus of NEET 2020 although vast can be split into chapters in the three individual subjects – Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

To make a study plan for you lets first get some details of pattern of questions asked in NEET 2020:

  • Total number of questions
    180 (Multiple choice questions)
  • No. of Sections
    3
  • No of questions per section
  • Physics
    45
  • Chemistry
    45
  • Biology
    90
  • Botany
    45
  • Zoology
    45

The Time factor is the most important criteria in making any study plan, much more so for NEET 2020, that is going to be held on May 3 2020. The limited time has to be spread across all subjects ensuring you have enough time for learning concepts, revisions and practice tests.

Firstly, you need to jot down all the topics under each subject Physics, Chemistry and Biology where you are not strong with the concepts. Here, some of the topics could be easy, moderately complex or very complex.

Remember these are very specific to your present knowledge and ability. Categorise them accordingly in a table.

Find out how much weightage is being given in NEET 2020 for all these topics that will tell you how much time you need to allocate.

STUDY PLAN – SUBJECTWISE TOPICS GRID FOR LEARNING CONCEPTS

STUDY PLAN – SUBJECTWISE TOPICS GRID FOR LEARNING CONCEPTS

In the table above, fill up the grid with topics that are easy to learn with low weightage in NEET 2020 and topics that are complex to learn but have high weightage, and so on, such that all the topics within a subject are covered in the grid and categorized as per their complexity and weightage. This will give you a very clear idea of which topics to learn first and which ones to tackle next.

Next, write down the topics for which you need to only revise. These are topics that you do not need to learn but just need to brush up.

Thirdly, keep a set of practice tests ready. These could be Mock tests or Previous years NEET exam question papers.

Then make a TIME TABLE till end of April. With just 10 weeks to go it is better you have a weekly plan, with what you will learn/revise/practice test.

Split the study hours into three parts: Learning concepts/Revision of topics/Practice Tests
